An Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai alumni, Mr Pravinchandra Shahu is a transformational leader and a remarkably formidable Information Technology professional. With a career spanning over 26 years across myriad global and regional enterprises, Shahu has an exemplary track record of leading teams in times of change, designing and driving the creation of technology solutions that generate a competitive edge and accelerate the growth of the business.
In his role as Business unit head, Shahu is responsible for lending strategic vision and direction in key areas such as Digital Asset Management, Asset Digitization, Asset Condition Monitoring and Asset Performance Management using Industry 4.0 solution stack. In his role as CIO, he is responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical expertise to ensure the smooth running of IT services, system and applications for all Business Units. Collaborating with the business to explore developmental ideas & current processes while positioning the company for long-term sustainable success, identifying and managing technology risks across the organisation are some other responsibilities he holds. He is also part of the Executive leadership team providing strategic leadership for business growth.
Shahu’s first stint at TCE was as a young engineer from 1992 to 2000, when he was responsible for areas such as developing various software packages, designing Local Area Network of various TCE offices and providing consultancy Services for external clients, etc. Shahu worked with Wockhardt Ltd., from 2000 to 2008 and returned to his alma mater TCE, in 2008.
Throughout his association with TCE, Shahu has spearheaded momentous technological transformation journeys like conceptualising ‘Digital PMO’ and designing and developing various processes, namely, Employee self-service portal, Project Lifecycle Management, Invoicing and cost control, Project forecasting and governance etc. He has also developed and designed inhouse HR applications for Talent Acquisition, Talent Management & Succession Planning, Performance Management, LMS, EES Intranet Portal etc.
Through his rich portfolio, Shahu brings a wealth of experience in fostering technology partnership while linking strategy to execution. His vast body of work is preceded by his passion for championing a culture where people are engaged and are provided opportunities to take risks, experiment and share ideas.
