More on CSR Policy
Creating infrastructure for underprivileged communities enhances their quality of life. We are focused on contributing towards this goal by leveraging our core strengths and partnering with our clients, NGOs and the Tata Group.
Till date we have built facilities like RCC Wells, Farm Ponds, Jalkunds, Check Dams, RCC Rainwater Harvesting Tanks, Solar Pumps, Solar Grids, Renovated school and its infrastructure in TCE adopted ten hamlets of Maharashtra.
We have also built 2800+ toilets in Gujarat and helped rebuild infrastructure facilities like schools, colleges, weaving centres and anganwadis in Uttrakhand.
We leverage our engineering, design and project management skills to actively look for opportunities of providing quality infrastructure to the communities we operate in.
Life is not sustainable if we don’t have trees. We understand this well and make all efforts to make this point understood to the communities we serve. We conduct regular tree plantation drives in Schools, gardens, barren lands, mountains, etc.
We strive to improve the quality of life for the most economically and socially backward communities. Our sustainable livelihood programs cover scheduled tribes in the communities we operate. We take sustainable livelihood even a step further by volunteering to look after our elderly, orphan kids and specially-abled.
Our programs work towards making the communities sustainable by helping them become financially independent. We have so far invested in providing training on the kitchen garden, horticulture, oil extraction and floriculture. We have also cultivated around 50+ acres of farmland helping farmers grow better crop.
Health and hygiene of a community is the indicator of its development. In the tribal belt, lack of water and the absence of sustainable income have resulted in malnutrition and hygiene issues. We are providing awareness on health and hygiene and support for vegetable farming to address nutrition and self-sufficiency.
As a preventive measure, we conduct regular health and eye camps and provide necessary medicines to the villagers. We also train young boys and girls on necessary medical checks so that they can give emergency assistance if required. These young health workers also actively participate in the heath camps and awareness sessions organised in the community.
We conduct special awareness sessions for women and children in the communities stressing on the benefits of eating local food and understand the nutritional value of different food items. The courses also are like mini cooking classes training them on healthy recipes.
Very recently, we have taken up the challenge to eradicate cataract and alcohol additions from our hamlets. We are conducting regular awareness sessions and counselling on the side effects of addiction and cataract screening camps for the elderly.
Our regular employee volunteering activities encompass the following initiatives:
We believe education is the tool that sharpens the mind and facilitates economic growth. Our initiatives are primarily focused on bringing knowledge to children from economically backward homes. Till date, we have launched the following actions:
