in setting up bulk drug, drug intermediate and formulation
units for the pharma sector. The company has witnessed
pilot plant trials, carried out scale-ups and prepared

paper products
TCE has worked extensively in pulp and paper industries
with leading Indian paper manufacturers. Its experience
includes products ranging from newspaper and paperboards
to specialty and tissue papers. TCE has worked on setting
up of new units as well as renovation, expansion and
modernisation of existing units.

Food and allied
products
TCE's first food project was executed as far back as 1973,
when the company was actively involved in putting up a
palm oil extraction plant in Malaysia for Uni -Tata. TCE's
experience also includes spray dried coffee, tomato process
and breakfast cereals plants. The company has provided
detailed engineering, project management consultancy,
construction supervision, etc to some of India's largest
names in the processed foods industry.

Manmade fibres
TCE engineered India's first continuous polymerization
and direct melt spinning polyester staple fibre plant
for Swadeshi Polytex. Since then, the company has worked
with industry leaders including Baroda Rayon, Century
Spinning, Prag Bosimi, DCL Polyesters etc for the manufacture
of polyester filament yarn and staple fibre, nylon-6 tyre
cord and nylon filament yarn.

Pesticides
Starting with Tata Fison's Rogor project in 1967, TCE
has engineered several pesticide plants in India and
overseas, including two projects in Iran for Rallis
India and Transpek. Besides conventional engineering
services, TCE has also carried out evaluation of technology
and scale-up and basic engineering activities in this
field. The company has considerable experience in working
with foreign and Indian technology suppliers.

Fertilisers
TCE has provided basic and detailed
engineering, inspection and expediting and construction
supervision services for utilities and offsites in the
fertiliser industry. The company has also worked on studies
for hazards and operability and disaster management.

TCE has undertaken various projects for Jindal Polyester,
Cosmofilms Ltd, Bausch and Lomb, Hindustan Lever etc.
The range of projects included single and multi-product
storage terminals at ports for chemicals including liquefied
gases such as vinyl chloride monomer (VCM), plants for
the manufacture of distilled fatty acid, carbon black,
aluminium fluoride and so on.
